Czech Republic thanks Klara !

She has dominated the championship from part to part, finshing with the best agregate men and women all together. After a first round of 68 -4 she had declared : "I Love this course..." Yesterday, in the wind, under the rain, and despite the delay, she kept her calm and played 65 -7 ! Easy today to confirm on this final round with a 69 -3 : "But two bogeys today !!!!!"... Klara was the lowest index of the field, and after finishing second in the French Junior International championship, she will leave Paris with quite a nice trophy. Helped by her country fellow Karolina Vlckova, Czech Republic will go back home with two gold medals !

Silver and Bronze for Spain
Spain, third of the Nations Cup, could also thank its girls ! Both of them finished in the top 5, Camilla Heldberg 3rd for the silver medal, had won the Spanish Junior International earlier this year. Camilla shares with Stina Resen (NOR) the best score of the day 68 -4. With the 5th place of Noemi Jimenez , a little bit less performing on the final round, Spain will return home with two medals.

Anne Hakula (FIN) takes the bronze individual women with a final 70 -2, coming back from the 12th place : "I putted in, and put my ball to the flag..." 22nd last year in Chantilly, she found the course "not long but not easy". Daisy Nielsen (ENG) and Noemi Jimenez (ESP) finished with the same score.

Gold and Silver for Netherlands
On Netherlands side, men were better than women, with the two players in the final Top 10.
Jeroen Krietemeijer, gold medal, took the advantage yesterday with a 69 -3 and win today with a final level par score : "Some fear today after a very good beginning..." Quite a good result for his first participation in the tournament ! He had won earlier this year the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters Golf Championship U16. His country fellow Rowin Caron secured a 9th place, for a silver medal for the team.

No major changes for the second and third individual men ranking ; Calum Stewaert (Sco) silver, and Thomas Detry (BEL) bronze, winner of the Netherlands International Championship, were already on the podium yesterday evening. Thomas Detry in the only one of the two co leaders of the first day at 69 -3 to close the championship on the podium. Rhys Pugh (WAL) : "I've been quite upset by the delay yesterday, and today I didn't play well..."

One year after the other..
Defending champion France takes the 13th place, 17th after the first round, 11th yesterday, the french team didn't succeed in climbing up more today. The French Captain, Jean-Pierre Chombart think that playing this course they know so well, for so many years, might finally disadvantage them : "I think it's finally hard for them to play it differently from the way they used to play it when they were younger. They are still affraid of the difficulties, and make mistakes they don't do elsewhere..."

Prize giving ceremony
Jerôme Paris, vice president of the French Golf Federat
ion : "We appreciated the way you assumed this week your role on this difficult course. You are the future of the european golf and it was a great pleasure for France to welcome you in France for 3 years... Congratulations to all players."
Antonio Bozzi, executive comitee of the European Golf Association : "Thank you to the French Golf Federation for the perfect organisation of the event, to the green keeping for this perfect course, and to all the volunteers. During these three years, France made a perfect crescendo ; Bondues first, then the historical course of Chantilly, and for the final year, the Golf National, this great course used to welcome big championships... Next year, we'll be in Hungary. The event began 14 years ago in Wentworth and some of the players then, are today representing the world golf. You are the future champions of Europe. I specially congratulate Klara Spilkova for her incredible score, and the Republic Czech for its historical team performance. I wish all the best to all of you."
